Oct. 15, 2011 ..... 7:30 pm

The Chris Crocco Fluid Trio from Hell’s Kitchen, NY, will perform “A Night of Tribal Jazz” at The Howland Cultural Center on Oct.15, 2011. The performance will be led by guitarist and master musician, Chris Crocco, a protégé of famed saxophonist George Garzone. Joining Mr. Crocco for the Howland performance are percussionist Ross Pederson and saxophonist Kenny Brooks. Ross Pederson has recorded on dozens of albums ranging from Jazz to Indie Rock, and has performed at the Montreaux, Vienne, North Sea, and Umbria jazz festivals. Kenny Brooks co-founded Alphabet Soup, the first hip/hop-jazz group to perform at both the Monterey and San Francisco Jazz Festivals.
The event will feature two energetically improvised sets, video art by Cristin Hughes, and live tattoo works to darken the venue. Produced and created by Nelson Conde.
